Both of our offerings below are built for nights when THC isn't part of the plan.
Sleep Gummies THC-Free
Each Sour Blue Raspberry gummy delivers 25mg of CBD, 15mg of CBN, 1mg of melatonin, and 100mg of L-theanine. The melatonin gives your body clock a gentle cue that bedtime has arrived, L-theanine helps quiet a busy mind, and CBD and CBN sourced from Oregon-grown hemp round things out with non-psychoactive, calming support.* There's no THC and no high, just a straightforward way to ease into rest. If you're steering clear of THC but comfortable with hemp-derived CBD, these are the most direct non-THC sleep gummies we make, and like everything in our lineup, they're third-party tested.
Night Magnesium+
Night Magnesium+ skips cannabinoids entirely. Magnesium bisglycinate, a form your body takes up easily and that's kind to digestion, leads the formula, backed by L-theanine, GABA, phytomelatonin, apigenin, lemon balm, and reishi mushroom extract.* Stir it into a mug of water, warm or cold, about half an hour to an hour ahead of lights-out, and it drinks like a sugar-free salted dark chocolate treat instead of a chore. We formulated it especially for women whose rest gets derailed by midlife hormone changes, from night sweats to mood swings, yet it works just as well for anyone who wants a smoother path to bed.*
The question that decides it
Before you pick, ask yourself whether you're avoiding THC specifically or all cannabinoids. That distinction matters more than most labels let on.
A THC-free sleep aid leaves out THC, but it may still contain CBD, CBN, or other compounds derived from hemp. For most people, that's perfectly fine. If you're in a workplace drug testing program, though, it's worth knowing that hemp-derived products can potentially carry trace amounts of other compounds, and a screening lab is far less forgiving than a product label.
Still, if you’d rather be on the safe side, that's where a CBD-free sleep aid comes in. Night Magnesium+ contains no cannabinoids at all, so it takes the guesswork out of the equation completely. If you simply want to avoid the high, the gummies are a great fit. If you need zero cannabinoids, start with Night Magnesium+.
What's actually doing the work
A long ingredient list doesn't mean much on its own, so here's a look at the research behind the key players in both formulas.
Melatonin for timing
Both products include a small dose of melatonin, with the gummies using 1mg and Night Magnesium+ using a plant-based form called phytomelatonin. A meta-analysis pooling 19 randomized trials found that melatonin helped people fall asleep faster, sleep longer, and rate their sleep quality higher than placebo, with the strongest effects when the body's internal clock needed a reset (Ferracioli-Oda et al., 2013).* That's why we treat melatonin as a supporting player in our formulas rather than the whole show.
Magnesium for winding down
Magnesium works on a different part of the sleep puzzle by supporting the nervous system's ability to settle at night. In an eight-week placebo-controlled trial, older adults with sleep difficulties who took magnesium saw meaningful improvements in how efficiently they slept, how quickly they drifted off, and how often they woke too early (Abbasi et al., 2012).* That research is a big part of why magnesium anchors Night Magnesium+, in the bisglycinate form that's gentle on digestion.
The supporting cast
L-theanine shows up in both formulas because it promotes a calm, settled mind without making you drowsy during the day.* CBN rounds out the gummies alongside melatonin and L-theanine, so each ingredient covers a different part of winding down.*
Curious how our THC formula compares? Our All New Sleep Study found that 87% of participants called THC+ Sleep Gummies the best sleep aid they've ever tried.*
What separates a trustworthy formula from a pretty label
Whether you're comparing sleep gummies without THC or searching for a natural non-THC sleep supplement in powder form, a few details tell you far more than the marketing on the front of the package.
First, look for a specific dose listed next to every active ingredient. Formulas that hide behind proprietary blends or sprinkle in a dozen ingredients at token amounts make it impossible to know what you're getting. Second, check for third-party testing, ideally with an accessible certificate of analysis. Third, if cannabinoids matter to you, look for a clear statement about exactly which ones the product contains. Our Natural Sleep Aid collection lays out a few of our top picks so you can start building your perfect sleep ritual tonight.
How to improve your nightly routine
You can use either product on its own or combine them. Night Magnesium+ was designed to pair with any FOCL sleep product, so some people sip it as a wind-down ritual and add a THC-Free Sleep Gummy on nights when they want extra support.*
Whichever route you take, consistency pays off. Melatonin can shift your timing fairly quickly, but magnesium tends to show its full benefit after a few weeks of nightly use. Pick a time that fits your evening, stick with it, and give your routine a fair trial before deciding how it's working. And before you begin, loop in your doctor if you're expecting, breastfeeding, taking prescriptions, or navigating any ongoing health concern.
